The following was written by our dear friend Vicki Frydrych who passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2025. She was a mentor, a loving friend who supported us in so many ways. She will remain in our hearts and mind always! She will always be a part of us. With broken hearts we celebrate as she dances in the One who loved, delighted and rejoiced over her always.

With this Musing, we share her wisdom.

It is the kindness (goodness) of God that leads to repentance.

Romans 2:4.

At times we - His kids - do not operate from His life within. Our thoughts, feelings, choices and actions appear non-godly. We walk from a place of lies, believing what is not true about ourselves and acting upon these thoughts.

In these times He speaks. For some a voice. For others a thought not their own. For others still, a word from a friend or stranger. Perhaps something they see or hear around them. Perhaps in the Word or by song or sermon or book. In every case He speaks kindness/goodness. He speaks love to us.

The result? Repentance. The beauty of turning.

The wonder of realizing you were captured and in bondage but are now free. Free to live. Free to love. Free to dance and sing and praise and glorify Him that reminded you of the truth. That turned the lock to set you free. That held your face and looked deep within your eyes, His eyes brimming with love.

This is the excitement of a journey home. Into His embrace. Repentance not bearing guilt or shame from where we've been and what we've done but a repentance back to the truth - His love, His care, further revelation of His character, the wonder and awe of our relationship with Him.

The result? Intimacy.

What if my forays into the lies actually have profit in the beauty of my return to Him. The realization of WHOM He is. From this mindset beauty flows....

- I walk in a lie

- I hear Him

- I respond to His kindness/goodness

- I receive His love, peace for my soul

- I know Him and am less likely to be deceived again this same way.

What the enemy meant for evil, God uses for good. Praise God - there is no reason to stay away from Him, no reason to walk in condemnation, shame or guilt.

Loving my turnings.

We love you, Vicki, forever and always!
